“Secretlab x The Witcher” Product Breakdown

With summer right around the corner, warmer weather brings new releases for all gamers alike. Perhaps one of the companies causing the most buzz is Secretlab with their “The Witcher” chair. Pre-orders of the chair sold out entirely on both rounds. As of May 16th the 3rd round for pre-orders is officially open. At the time of this article being written only 9% of stock is left. For those lucky enough to snag one, shipping will start July 26th. For those looking or perhaps deciding what to do, we hope this detailed product breakdown is exactly what you need.

Different Sizes:

The Witcher chair is based on the original model of Titan EVO 2022. Although the company carries different chair sizes to accommodate different body types; we will focus on the regular size which remains the most commonly bought. The site recommends the regular for people between 170-189cm. If you are taller or shorter then this range, you can look into the other sizes, their maximum load is approximately 130kg or 286lbs.

Materials Used:

Getting into the construction of the chair, this particular collaboration only comes in the Secretlab NEO Hybrid Leatherette. The Leatherette provides a soft fabric while also assuring the owner a lot more durability. The other textile options like the SoftWeave plus fabric or NAPA Leather are unfortunately not available for this collaboration. Nevertheless, this doesn’t seem to upset many buyers who are looking at other features as significant improvements compared to previous models.

Special Features:

Secretlab has added a 4-way Lumbar Support system that ensures full lower back support with their patent pending technology. Moreover, an improvement from previous plastic arm rests to fully metal 4d ones make the chair more durable. Perhaps the best example of a great feature is the introduction of a magnetic head pillow. Made of memory foam and stitched with the outmost precision, it provides a much cleaner look than previous models that used straps to hold the pillow.

Warranties and Policies:

Of course, there are some features that need no changing like in the case of their warranty. As per usual the company offers a 3-year warranty that can be extended to 5-years. This covers any unusual malfunctions caused by poor manufacturing or unusual wear and tear. Nevertheless, they do make it quite clear that any fading or aesthetic defects due to misuse of the chair are not covered.

Price:

The Witcher with NEO Hybrid Leatherette will set you back $799 a bit of an increase when comparing it to the regular TITAN EVO 2022 which usually costs $679 and offers the same features. This special edition chair is an extra $120 for just the design. Therefore, this would be only worth it if you are a collector or huge fan of The Witcher franchise. They do explain that the extra cost is going towards the upholstery work that is themed after The Witcher 3 game.

Special Gifts Included:

To incentivize buyers, specially considering the price increase, there is a little special gift with the purchase of the Witcher chair. A Secertlab X The Witcher Gwent card collection has been created. If you are a fan of The Witcher 3, then you are probably aware of Gwent the card game within the game (Mini-game). There are a total of 5 possible cards one can receive. Every purchase of a Witcher chair will feature one Secretlab chair card and one random card of Geralt, Triss, Yennefer or Ciri.

In Conclusion:

To summarize, personally we are a huge fan of this collection. We totally understand the design chosen to represent the game and feel they make total sense. If made to choose one thing to nitpick, we would probably make it black instead of brown so it goes well with most room setups. We are rating it a solid 8/10 -point lost for price increase and brown color-. Nevertheless, if you are in the market for a new chair and are a Witcher fan, then you might have found the perfect match.
